Dropdone

Dropdone is a desktop app for county, city and nonprofit staff who clean the same messy system export every week. You clean one export by hand, Dropdone learns the steps from your before and after, and every export after that comes out the same way, checked against your workbook before it saves.

What they shipped

Built this weekend with Next.js, Tailwind and Vercel, across 20 merged pull requests: - Five pages (Home, How it works, Features, Compare, Pricing), a branded 404 and a clickable mock of the app. - Custom animations in the brand's pixel style: section dividers, an active-tab marker, a rolling pixel field, a lime "Get early access" hover, and product demos built in code rather than videos. - A working waitlist: Upstash Redis storage, duplicate detection, rate limiting, a spam trap, branded confirmation emails on a verified domain, and a password-protected CSV export. - A phone-specific layout: mobile menu, swipe carousels, tap-to-flip cards, pinned table labels and iPhone autoplay fixes. - Two full audits: production build, link and anchor crawl, random-click stress tests, 14 screen sizes, accessibility (keyboard, screen readers, reduced motion) and a copy review for clarity.

Receipts

Dropdone is a concept product; this is the launch site it would ship with. The waitlist is real. Try these: - Join the waitlist: https://dropdone-kappa.vercel.app/#join. Signups are stored in a real database, repeats are recognised, and you get a branded confirmation email from mail.getdropdone.com within a minute. - See the product in 10 seconds: https://dropdone-kappa.vercel.app/#how. A drag/drop/done animation shows a messy export becoming an updated workbook. - Watch it handle change: https://dropdone-kappa.vercel.app/compare. An animated demo shows the same export change hitting Dropdone, Power Query, an Excel macro and Copilot, with four different outcomes. - The four setup steps, with an interactive before/after sheet, plus three real legacy export formats (Munis, Springbrook, JD Edwards) you can flip to see cleaned: https://dropdone-kappa.vercel.app/how-it-works - Clickable mock of the desktop app: https://dropdone-kappa.vercel.app/mock Built properly on phones too: mobile menu, swipe carousels, tap-to-flip cards, tested on iPhone Safari and 14 screen sizes from 320px to 1920px. Note: the county names, usage counter and security badges show how the site would look at launch. They are illustrative, not real customers or certifications.
