description: Plan a marketing site: sections, order, and the job each one does. Use before writing any page copy.
---

Plan the page before anyone writes CSS.

1. **Read the positioning brief.** The hero is the one-liner. If there's no brief, stop and run `/positioning-brief`.
2. **Propose the section order** and, for each, the single job it does. Typical spine: hero → the problem, in their words → what it does → proof → how it works → objection handling → one CTA. Deviate when the product justifies it and say why.
3. **Pick one primary CTA** and list what competes with it. Cut the competitors.
4. **Mark what to leave out.** Most builder sites fail by addition. Name the sections they don't need yet.
5. Write the outline to `05-site/structure.md`.

Judge every section against: would a stranger who arrived from a link understand this without scrolling back?
